Introducing Dolby's PRM-4200 Professional Reference Monitor!
Infinite Range, Infinite Possibilities.
Introducing the Dolby® PRM-4200 Professional Reference Monitor, the most accurate monitor for creating any type of entertainment content. It renders true black levels, highly accurate dark detail, and the most precise color accuracy possible, across a wide dynamic range at all luminance levels and in all formats.
With the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor, you see every captured element in amazing detail. A trusted partner to content creators for decades, Dolby worked closely with colorists and cinematographers to perfect the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor. The result is the first flat-panel monitor that truly betters a CRT. It's destined to become the industry standard reference monitor. And once you see it, you'll agree.
Supports the Latest Digital Technologies
The Dolby Professional Reference Monitor is the first monitor that's capable of displaying the full dynamic range, high contrast ratio, and wide color gamut that today's leading-edge digital cameras and film stocks can deliver—and that tomorrow's digital imaging technologies will bring. These characteristics make it the perfect choice for working with the latest digital cameras and color correction systems.

No other monitor portrays your creative vision more accurately. Support for 3DLUTs allows the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor to be calibrated to perfectly match digital screening environments, and to emulate the response of film-print stocks during the digital intermediate color correction process. On the set, the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor displays color looks and pre-visualization with 1Dand 3D LUTs.
Flexible and Cost-Effective
By emulating virtually any other display device, the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor replaces an entire collection of costly monitors that may currently be used for color correction mastering, and quality control. The Dolby Professional Reference Monitor takes flexibility one step further by supporting DCI P3, all high definition formats over HD-SDI, and2K video content. By emulating the full gamut of film, the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor even makes DCI P3color grading possible without using a digital projector.
Resolution to Spare
The Dolby Professional Reference Monitor goes beyond 10 bits, with support for emerging 12-bit formats. Featuring a 42-inch (diagonal) LCD flat panel display with a resolution of 1920 by1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor delivers a spaciously wide angle viewing area of plus or minus 45 degrees. The backlight of the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor consists of 1,500 RGB LED triads, with the light element from each R, G, and B element independently controlled, frame by frame, to create a full-color backlight image. This image, together with the image on the LCD, produces the final image, one of extended dynamic range with the widest and most accurate color gamut available in a flat-panel monitor.
Intuitive Access
With the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor, there are no onscreen displays to interfere with the image on the monitor. That’s because an included external desktop or rackmounted remote controller handles all functions. The remote gives you immediate, intuitive access to all of the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor’s features, functions, and parameters with simple, easy-to-use menus.
Designed for the Real World
Built to Dolby’s exacting standards, the Dolby Professional Reference Monitor supports today’s digital technology workflows. And it’s ready for the next generation in high-dynamic-range digital intermediates when they arrive.
