With new products for HD production, like low-cost sync generation, new portable HD capture systems, new low bandwidth visually lossless full raster HD codecs, astounding new entries in the color grading field, and new software to output easily to every mobile and web delivery codec, the NAB Show has something for just about everyone!

• Apple introduces Final Cut Studio 2, a major upgrade to their industry standard suite for the video professional

• AJA Video's new ioHD is the only device to offer full raster 10-bit 4:2:2 HD video capture via Firewire 800

• Apple introduces Final Cut Server, asset management and workflow automation that works with Final Cut Studio 2

Brainstorm Electronics introduces the new VSG-4 video sync generator card for their DCD-8 video word clock Swiss Army knife 1ru device

• Blackmagic Design introduces their new Multibridge Eclipse, the world's first system featuring 3Gb/s SDI, HDMI, and analog editing with 16 channels of audio

• Studio Network Solutions is demonstrating Evo, a shared storage solution for post production workgroups. Evo is designed for facilities that have been faced with the choice of deciding between a SAN or a NAS. The system uses 4 Gb/s Fibre Channel and up to 10 Gb/s iSCSI and NAS

• TASCAM's new X-48 is the world's first standalone 48-track Hybrid Hard Disk Workstation. It integrates the best of both worlds: the stability and ease-of-use of a purpose-built hard disk recorder, with the GUI, editing features and plug-in compatibility of a computer-based digital audio workstation.

• Fostex announces their new PD606, the latest addition to their successful line of multichannel location recorders.

• Digidesign enters the professional reference monitor market and introduces, in conjunction with PMC, their new RMS series active biamped monitors

• Apple announces Color, serious color grading software that's now available to all working video professionals

• JLCooper announces the new Eclipse CX, their first fully integrated Colorist Command Station for use with advanced color grading software systems, such as Apple's newly announced Color.

• Blackmagic Design introduces their new HDLink Pro, which offers HD & 2K monitoring from an Apple 30" display with film LUTs and 5.1 audio output

• Dolby Labs releases and ships the Dolby Media Encoder SE, the cost-effective single-computer software encoding solution designed for smaller facilities preparing audio files for DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, HD DVD, and Blu-ray Disc formats.

• Adobe products are now back on the Macintosh, and bring easy output to all mobile and web codecs

• New hardware from AJA Video: GEN10 SD/HD sync generator for $390; and the new FS1 SD/HD converter/frame sync generator that has everything in and everything out

• Mackie introduces their new THX-approved HR824mk2 and HR624mk2 monitors, designed for the demands of the modern studio. The HRmk2's new Zero Edge Baffle™ minimizes diffraction, while its optimized waveguide delivers wide, even dispersion. Coupled with the passive radiator, the new baffle design also ensures tight bass extension.

• Apple introduces their new ProRes 422 codec, offering full raster 10-bit 4:2:2 HD at SD data rates.

• Convergent Design introduces their new NanoView, an SDI/HD-SDI to HDMI converter for only $325 MSRP.
