Montreal, Canada (Nov. 24, 2003) — Matrox Graphics Inc. announced that its Parhelia 128 MB AGP graphics card has been chosen by Sonic to be bundled with Sonic DVD Producer 4.

“Sonic is extremely pleased with the power and quality that Matrox Graphics’ Parhelia technology adds to this important bundle for creative DVD professionals,” says Rolf Hartley, general manager, Sonic Solutions’ Professional Products Group. “With its versatile multi-display and video output support that utilizes Sonic’s real-time DVD proofing, Parhelia will allow DVD Producer 4 users to further enhance their workflow, and boost title creation productivity higher than ever before.”

By seamlessly integrating support for Parhelia’s PureVideo Preview technology with DVD Producer 4, Sonic users are able to output their projects full-screen to a dedicated video monitor for real-time What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) proofing. Furthermore, Parhelia’s unique Dual-display plus TV output support allows users to simultaneously employ up to two RGB displays with DVD Producer 4 to extend the authoring interface and conveniently place toolbars, menu compositing and control windows for optimal visualization and efficiency.

“We are delighted to be joining forces with Sonic, the established leader in DVD technology and are proud that they have selected the Parhelia graphics card for DVD Producer,” says Caroline Injoyan, video workstation product manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. “Sonic DVD Producer 4 sets the standard for video professionals who are extending their creation services with DVD, and Parhelia offers the very best multi-display capabilities and image quality — a perfect match for the power and productivity that Sonic users have come to expect.”
