All attest to a seminar well done ....

On Tuesday Dec. 19th, 2006, Audio Intervisual Design and Dolby Laboratories presented an informative seminar on new audio production tools for DVD, HD DVD, and Blu-ray Disc at Dolby's Burbank office. Below is a brief overview of the information that was presented.

Overview

Part one of this seminar will present an overview of Dolby’s new technologies for the new HD disc media. Learn about Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD, and the advantages they bring to both HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc production.

The second part of this seminar will be an in-depth training session of the Dolby Media Producer suite of products:

• Dolby Media Encoder: network based encoding system for doing non-real-time encoding of all of Dolby’s disc based media technologies, including Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and MLP Lossless.

• Dolby Media Decoder: file based decoding for QC of files with picture, and monitoring of consumer listening modes.

• Dolby Media Tools: updating and repairing of encoded files without the need for re-encoding.
